Still On My Brain

While watching the game last night:

1) While looking at Brucey's face, I kept thinking about how would it be like to be a manager to an underdog team? It's not about the performance as it has happened so many times that small clubs managed to cream the big guns in this league. That's the beauty of the league, I guess.

No, it's more about not being able to splurge on new players as money is not abundance and having to make do with the players you have? It's kinda difficult to make selection when the team is small innit?

2) I wondered how it would be like to be presented for the first time in a stadium filled with almost 80 thou people. I bet the Cook boy was beside himself as he has just graduated from the little boys' club to err bigger boys' club (?) but did the atmosphere get to him?

Last week, I saw some parents dropped by to send their children's acceptance letter to school but there were these 3 cars where instead of driving off after that, stayed on. For hours!!

The library is near to the parking space so there we were wondering what the heck they were doing for hours. Biasala minah-minah kepochi hahaha

I guess they are so excited that their kids are gonna be enrolled there in the new school. I just hope that the kids are equally excited :)

3) I kept thinking about the work to be done in the library. Couldn't wait to paste some barcodes whatever it is they are called and then some. I just love library work hahah It's hard work but then it's satisfying. Must have something to do with my dream of having a big library. And now I have one. Sort of :p

One thing for sure, I want to go book shopping next year. There are tonnes of English books that I want to have in the library. Malay fictions are quite substantial but not English ones. And since I have been promoted to be the *ahem* Pen. Penyelaras I'm so there baby! hahaha

4) The countdown for the new term of school has begun. I can't wait for the school to open :) There will be new people, new bunch of kids, the pressure of teaching exam classes. Ah, what an excitement.

Sorry, I just don't get those teachers who feel dragged to start school. I bitch about school too but then this is too early to bitch about anything. The holidays are supposed to make you forget things so that you can start all over again.

You are not kids anymore. They of cos don't like anything or anybody. You, on the other hand, have a choice. If you don't like going to school, you can always change your career. Life is all about choices. Term not yet started pun dah kecoh malas la apa la. Tah apa2 tah. Come on, some people have been working hard during the hols ok.

Sunday Morning Call

I read that I need to take 100% responsibility of whatever happens in my life. By assuming this, only then I will have the power to determine the course of my path.

(E being event, R being response and O is outcome)

If you want O to change, change your R. The same event can happen to two different people but yet their responses can be different. And that will determine the outcome.

Oh yeah. Ok, now on to the list of things I want to do and achieve. 2011, come now already :-)

Just Like A Pill

'tis the season to be jolly. Not.

Just in two weeks' span, both of my parents got admitted. My dad was the first one to be admitted. Oh btw, Imran was in the hosp as well the week before that. A different hospital la of coz. Although he wasn't admitted, I think.

Oh btw kids, drink up on your plain water ok? There's a reason why they keep asking you to drink at least how many litres one day.

When I went to the hospital (when my dad was admitted) I said to my mom 'Camne orang sakit nak jaga orang sakit nih?'

She's not well herself so it will be quite a problem if my dad is sick. He's the one who takes care of the house and Ika.

Thankfully my youngest brother is still at home.

Then yesterday, my mom was admitted. In the first place, she's already frail and with this, she becomes weaker. She was complaining about her difficulty in breathing thus the hospital check up. Turned out that she has dengue whatevernot.

I think the doctor is quite young. At first when he came in, he was just one of the nurses haha Gilos. Aren't they supposed to work with the government first only then off to some privates? So by the time they finished gov, they won't be that young. Ok maybe he just looks young.

And when you are in the hospital, you'll never cease to learn something new.

good news eh? well, for me at least :-)

Ring The Alarm

Today I got an sms from my pk telling me the names of two new teachers. Right after I saw one of the names, I laughed out loud.

No, not because his name is funny or anything. Just because that the first 3 letters of his name are similar with mine. And since I'm the one who makes timetable, now I have to think what initials to give to him.

Sorry, jas has been taken. That is mine and mine alone muahaha ;)

This made me think of another incident. There's this one clerk in esteejay whom everyone calls K Tee. Only I don't call her that. Instead, I call her Pn Tee. She even asked me why I didn't call her K Tee when actually of all people, I'm closer to her.

But I just can't. You see, my siblings call me Kak Ti so I feel it's kinda weird calling her that. Sound like I'm calling myself hahah Yeah, I'm weird like that.

But then, in the new school, there's one kakak with this name too. Although most of the times, I call her K Yati la instead of K Ti haha

You know why I'm so conscious about it is because of this one incident. There was this one time when I was talking to Jules (I can't remember who else was there but Jules was definitely there), and in the midst of the conversation, I called her Jas hahaha

I mean, what the heck la kan? How could you call other people with ur own name? And since then, Jules never failed to say sthg abt it hahah

That's why it just feels so weird. Every time I call K Yati K Ti, I'm reminded by this incident. Next year, it will be flagged more often I guess ;p

High As A Kite

Went to ph last weekend for a reprieve :) Now I got my gerberas and laundry bag. With the habit of not folding clothes on time, I'm in need of more baskets.

Ah well, I got no time to dwell on house work. I need the time for school work hehe

Got my unclelim's so I was happy. When exactly sbn will have its franchise? The other one is mushrooming but not unclelim's darn it

Hopelessly Devoted To You

Been juggling between marking and doing library work. Yep, in school from morning until evening doing things in the library. Then continue marking at night.

One of the jobs in the library is wrapping books. I think in all my years of schooling pun x de balut up to this amount. Crazy betul.

Our aim is to make sure that all reference books are up before school starts. There are so many of them and thankfully some have been put safely on the bookcases.

We also changed the layout of the library. Again hahaha. I know. The layout all depends on our mood la actually but I guess this time, it will stick a bit longer. Well, until we got tired and bored with it :)

The library will not be filled up fully this year or even next year. We have a 2-storey library so just imagine how much of work needs to be done. Maybe in 5 years then all the racks gonna be filled up kot? hmm

Nevertheless, love doing this job. And hey now I have another 2 tables in the library alone. So that makes it 3! Over tuh biasaaaa :P

Let's All Make Believe

Stopped by at the house this evening and did this

Had not done this for a long time. I remember when we were kids, my mom spent money on buying drawing blocks and colours. Money was scarce at that time but yet my mom spent some of her hard earned money on those things.

I remember how fun it was drawing all the dinosours and all although I wonder where the heck is that ability now ahaha

But then according to Julie's book that I once read, everyone of us has the ability to draw. It's just the matter at what age/level the ability is at. Thus the importance of practising so that you can hone the skills.

Ah well, I'm so lazy thus my skills stuck at age 6. Or maybe even lower haha

she covered that part and told me that she wanted to colour it haha

C'mon C'mon C'mon

Was at this place for 3 days.

One of the examiners in my group said that she found herself ballooned up while marking. I think that is so true.

We do almost anything to keep the marking momentum alive. Thus the binge I guess. Last night, I ran out of assam and choki-choki so I ended up sleeping early hahaha

But this afternoon while I was trying to get my new supply of assam, I found myself deliberating on whether to buy the choki-choki or not. Too much choc I thought to myself so I decided to just get the assam.

Although I did leave with one pack of sweets :)

i think i don't need to restock even until the end of next year haha

Some Might Say

Instead of KT, we went to KL haha Thought we got the route figured out but turned out that the map printed using google map was useless.

Should have guessed it earlier when I didn't even know some of the roads mentioned and the road are in Sbn! Anyway, we got one live gps in the car so everything was alright hahah

What if we had never lived in KL and never knew that the hotel is near pwtc? Plus with the horrible road conditions and traffics sheesh

One feature of the hotel that we stayed in is that you need to have ur card ready to get on the lift. And you can't get access to other floors except your own.

Well, it was easy when there were only us in the lift. But when there were many floors to get to and many cards to read, it took quite awhile for the process to be completed.

Anyway, the apartment given was ok. Definitely can go there again especially when we already know the way to the hotel haha

We took the public transportation going to places as it was easier. It had been ages since the last time I took the lrt but then the trip was not bad especially when we had our tng card. No need to queue up for tix except for K Yati who didn't bring hers.

We went to 7 or 8 malls just to cuci mata hahah Gila penat jalan weii We even went to jln tar. The only thing that I didn't manage to do was to visit the uncles at cm. I wonder where their shop is still there or not. Must make a point to go there one of these days :)
