Here I Am

Went for a short trip recently. Nonie and I kept saying that we wanted to go somewhere but never made a proper decision until that fateful day. That day was so stressful until we decided we just needed a breather from school. Away from these parasites.

First, we (plus K Rohaidah) wanted to go to Kuching. Then that plan was aborted. We chose KK instead. But looking at the plane fare, we changed our mind again hahha In the end, Bandung it was.

It was quite difficult finding hotel since the weekend that we were going was a long one. We got it in the end. Only to be informed that it was a red area. Our YDP who frequents Indonesia often helps us in finding a better hotel and a driver. He even planned our itinerary :)

Landed in Bandung at nite. Went to have a cuppa before heading to hotel. Was supposed to have dinner but since we had food on the plane so everybody was full. Thought the name of the hotel was Sukajadi Hotel (we even wrote that on the immigration card) but it was actually a different one.

very comfy

One funny incident in the plane. I wanted to have a copy of an immigration form to fill too after a steward gave one copy to K Rohaidah. But the steward said "Oh only one per family" thinking that I was from the same family. I must have looked like Hassan's sister and have Iranian blood then huh? hahha

Visited one popular tourist there. Tangkuban Perahu. Okla. I've been to Rotorua so it's not actually a big deal seeing a crater hahah Berlagak.

us

After that, our shopping trip began. Went to Pasar Baru and so many interesting things to look at. The only thing is that the shops are not well organised. So if you don't have a lot of time, you will not be able to get fantastic bargain since you can't visit many shops to compare prices.

It's quite difficult being a Malaysian here in Bandung. These people will milk you dry if you are not careful. They assume we come with big and deep pockets so you need to be ready to bargain well. And of coz there are some sombong salespersons there too. Bengong ja

that said lady

Another irritating thing is that they (the peddlers) will hassle you. No matter what, they will try to hoist their merchandise on you. Even in normal circumstances, when a salesperson comes and follows me around I will become irritated just imagine how irritated I was when these people kept following us sheesh

the hasslers

Managed to do fish therapy finally. Damn cheap ok Only 20, 000 rupiah which is only RM 7. I think that country needs to review its currency la. What's the point of having so many zeros when the worth is also zero?

Did they follow the Japanese currency system? If yes, kelakar la weii Yen's worth is too high that they are working very hard to lower it down. Don't like rupiah. 4 million rupiah is nothing much ok.

Overall it was a fun trip. It was great that we finally had our break. Although this visit has its own controversies.

It had been mentioned in the meeting that we should not go and have holiday when the kids are doing their preparation for exam. Need to wait until they have finished exam.

Hello. When we sent in the form, there was no programme scheduled. We checked the school takwim as well as the warden timetable. Furthermore, that was public holiday ok?

The moment we knew there were whispers about this, we surfed the AA website to survey tickets for the next holiday hahhaa
